Over the years the local dry cleaners, Promise Cleaners, at the corner of Waterway Drive and Cardinal Road has changed ownership a few times. It is understandable that the price of dry cleaning, alterations, etc. has risen.

I was somewhat shocked when I went to pick up a pair of dress loafers that I left for repair(half sole, heels and heel plates) and they charged me $70. Another $30 and I could have purchased a new pair. The last time I had this same work done on the same pair of shoes it cost me $40.

It is probably time to shop around for another dry cleaner.

P.S. They also have a minimum $10 credit card charge that I could not find posted anywhere.
