Drywall Repair

Submitted by Chris Casey on Sun, 08/26/2007 - 1:07pm.

I have a couple of small drywall repair jobs that I need done. They're the sort of thing I *should* be able to do myself, but I know enough about my own skills that I know they'll end up looking terrible if I do them myself. If you've had a good experience with any dry wall or handyman type of contractors, please let me know.

After watching that impressive show of doing drywall as a one-person crew, I noticed that you can search on DIY and find all kinds of little videos posted by other folks. Very interesting and imaginative ways to get something done.

What no one would want to see is the mess I would make of even doing the small repair job I'm faced with. I would surly find a way to make it bigger, uglier, and possibly turn it into some kind of evil sinkhole or open a gateway into another dimension through which my kid might fall like on the Twilight Zone...

... hmmm, on second thought :-)

I actually found a video on youtube that showed me exactly how to take apart my nintendo DS lite. After I found that, I ordered the special nintendo DS/Wii screw driver and a replacement top screen off of ebay. I replaced the cracked top screen on the nintendo DS lite. Now I can battle against my kids again. Which by the way, if there are any nintendo DS folks on this board that have the pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, we have the battle arena for the Wii that lets you battle using your nintendo DS lites or nintendo DS. I held a tournament last weekend with the prizes of course being a 60 pack of pokemon trading cards. THere were 2 categories, Legendary and non-legendary. We had 12 contestants. I'm thinking about holding one every month and keeping track of everyones win - loses.
Anyways.. thanks for the link posting that resulted in me getting my DS lite fixe for under $30 bucks.
