Nathan's Dairy Bar

Recently, after living here for 7 years, we went with some friends to get some ice cream over in Manassas. Dairy Queen is nice, but the same place with the same items. Close, which is a big plus with the gas prices. However, for a slight change of surroundings, it is nice to get ice cream treats from Nathan's Dairy Bar. 8948 Mathis Avenue, Manassas VA 20110. 703-335-9051.

Take 234 N to liberia. once you hit 28, go over 28 and then take the next LEFT.. one block down on the RIGHT.

My daughter likes the Worms and Dirt sunday.

Anyone know of other ice cream spots that are nice? I think the one over by the country club/7-11 closed down.

Have you tried Jo Jo's on Rt. 1 Next to Pizza Hut and across from Dunkin Doughnuts in Dumfries. Long line but worth the wait!

Also a bit of a drive, but worth it to me is Bruster's in Stafford.

Ice Cream

Carl's in Fredericksburg is pretty good. They use some pretty old machines, but good ice cream.

A Delicious Nearby Place!

We really like BR Frozen Custard & Sweets. It's in the shopping center across from Chinn on Old Bridge (the lower part near the Sports Restaurant). It's a small family owned place like JoJo's, the owner couple usually have their kids working the counter. The frozen custard is delicious and they have terrific flavors. The mom also makes cakes and candy which are really good too, but the frozen custard is awesome!
