Does anyone besides myself take issue with the new policy that the gates to the beaches are now being locked at 5pm on weekdays and not opened at all on weekends during the off season? I think that this is a disservice to those who live in the immediate area and now have to deal with lots of cars parked on the streets, as well as those who have small children or disabilities and need more convenient parking (I am not in either of these groups, by the way, but I have empathy for them). The weekend during the off season is a wonderful time to use our beaches. Access to the beaches and water are why many of us bought homes in this development in the first place. Sure, the 'in season' is quickly approaching, but it also passes quickly, making the beaches inaccessible to many the other 9 months of the year. This is not right in my opinion.
