For Sale – 1966 Morris Minor Traveller. This car was purchased at Blenheim Palace in the UK during the 50th Anniversary of the Morris Minor. After converting the car to run on unleaded, and installing a 5-speed synchromesh transmission, we brought it to the US. After an extensive renovation at Vintage Restoration ( http://www.vintagerestorationsltd.com/cur_proj03.html ) in Union Bridge, MD, it was brought back to Virginia. The Traveller was designed by the same man that designed the original Mini and comes in a 2 & 4 door car (aka saloon), convertible, truck, panel van and the Traveller (used by the British Post Office, military and many other organizations). The wood is not just decorative, it is actually part of the structure of the car. While our car did not have a “nut and bolt” rebuild, many things were either replaced or upgraded. The restoration included: complete new set of wood (from a specialists in the UK), complete new upholstery, headliner and carpet, new wiring harnesses, all metal repainted and other smaller items. We spent several thousand dollars on this car, but it is time to find a new home because we don’t drive the car as much as we would like to. The car also has a 1275cc engine from a Morris Marina, replacing the original engine that it came with (installed by a previous owner). The car was also show-cased by Vern Parker in the Washington Times and has won numerous awards. Price is firm at $10,000. If you want to take a closer look, please let us know. The car is located in Montclair, VA
